Is it okay to use educational apps with my baby?

The AAP advises against screen-based media for children under 18 months, as babies learn best through hands-on interaction with caregivers. Studies show that infants do not transfer learning from screens to real life effectively. Video calls with grandparents or family members are the one exception. Talk to your pediatrician about when to introduce media.
