My 4-year-old still has trouble sharing. Is this normal?
Yes. True sharing (voluntarily and willingly) doesn't fully develop until ages 5–7. At 4, children are still quite egocentric. Practice turn-taking in games, praise sharing when it happens, and set expectations before playdates ('We're going to take turns with the trucks'). Avoid forcing a child to share a special comfort item.
