When should my toddler start talking?
Most toddlers say their first words around 12 months and have about 50 words by 18 months. By age 2, they typically combine two words ('more milk,' 'daddy go'). If your child has fewer than 50 words by 2 or isn't combining words, discuss it with your pediatrician.
