Is it okay if my toddler wants to read the same book over and over?
Absolutely — repetition is how toddlers learn. Rereading the same book builds vocabulary, reinforces story structure, and gives your child the satisfying feeling of mastery ('I know what comes next!'). They may eventually 'read' it to you from memory, which is an important pre-literacy skill. Resist the urge to push new books — let them lead. You can gently introduce variety by placing new books alongside favorites. Consistency matters more than variety at this age. Discuss language development with your pediatrician.
