How do I foster a love of learning in my toddler without pushing academics?

Follow your toddler's natural curiosity — if they're obsessed with trucks, count trucks, name truck colors, read truck books. Learning through play builds stronger neural connections than worksheets or flashcards at this age. Provide open-ended materials: blocks, crayons, sand, water, and nature items. Ask questions that extend their thinking: 'What do you think will happen if...?' Read together daily — the single most impactful activity for future academic success. There's no need for formal academics before preschool. Discuss developmental learning milestones with your pediatrician.
