Is it safe to fly with a newborn, and what do I need?
Most airlines allow newborns to fly after 2 weeks of age, but check with your pediatrician first — premature babies or those with respiratory issues may need to wait longer. Feed or offer a pacifier during takeoff and landing to help with ear pressure. Pack extra diapers, formula/breast milk, a change of clothes (for you too), and keep essentials in your carry-on. A rear-facing car seat is the safest option on the plane if you purchase a seat for your baby. Discuss travel readiness with your pediatrician.
