How do I prepare my preschooler for their first flight?
Talk about the experience in advance: watch age-appropriate videos about airports and planes, read books about flying, and role-play the process (security check, finding your seat, buckling in). Pack a carry-on bag they helped fill with favorite toys, coloring books, stickers, and snacks. Offer a pacifier, snack, or drink during takeoff and landing for ear pressure. Download shows or games on a tablet as backup. Bring a car seat for their own seat if possible — it's safer and familiar. Discuss any travel health questions with your pediatrician.
