How do I talk about puberty and body changes without embarrassment?

Start conversations early and make them ongoing rather than one awkward 'talk.' Use correct anatomical terms, normalize the changes ('Everyone goes through this'), and share age-appropriate books or resources they can explore privately. Address both physical changes (growth spurts, acne, menstruation, voice changes) and emotional shifts (mood swings, new attractions). Keep the door open: 'You can always ask me anything.' Consult your pediatrician, who can also discuss puberty directly with your teen.
