Do 'educational' baby toys and apps actually help my baby learn?

Despite marketing claims, there is no evidence that baby Einstein videos, educational apps, or electronic learning toys improve cognitive development — the AAP recommends no screens before 18 months. Babies learn best through hands-on exploration with simple objects (stacking cups, wooden blocks, textured balls) and through responsive human interaction. Your voice, face, and attention are your baby's most powerful learning tools. Save money on fancy gadgets and invest time in playing, reading, and talking. Discuss your baby's learning milestones with your pediatrician.
