How much screen time is appropriate for a toddler?

The AAP recommends avoiding screen time for children under 18 months (except video calls). For ages 18–24 months, only high-quality programming watched together with a parent. Ages 2–5: limit to 1 hour per day of high-quality content. Prioritize interactive play, reading, and outdoor time.
